About Our Company

Bols Quality Car Care Front Door
Bolts Car Care grew from a Denver Free University class in the 70's.  People taking the class wanted a place to do repairs on their VW Bugs & Buses, so the class members formed a Colorado Co-operative, contributed funds to rent a garage and off they went...for a very short time.

The person offering the class, Ed Williams, and one of the class members, Rick Mera (Rick is now the owner of Bolts, and was co-founder of the original shop), took over the little garage at 7th Avenue and Santa Fe Drive as a regular business after the co-op members discovered that a co-op doesn't run itself.

The business operated at  that location for fifteen years, and expanded to include work on most German, Japanese and Swedish vehicles.  At the same time, we built a reputation for honest, reliable, friendly service. Customers felt comfortable leaving their cars with us, since we always communicated a genuine sense of caring, and always followed through with the expertise necessary to remedy their vehicles's particular problems.

Our dedication to meeting more than the minimum expectations, and our willingness to stand behind the service we provide has produced a loyal following of customers in the years since we starting the business in 1976.

In the summer of  '91' we moved from our modest three-bay shop to a beautiful  9- bay facility near downtown in the Golden Triangle, conveniently located off Speer Boulevard at 11th Avenue & Delaware Streets. Stop by for a visit and see why we are so proud of our new home.
